Some guests have reported longer wait times during peak hours, especially on busy Sundays when the pub hits full capacity. Although the staff is friendly and eager to assist, the high demand can hinder the speed of service. A few diners may also find the seating arrangement during busy times a bit cramped, which might detract from the overall dining experience. Lastly, those who prefer a very quiet environment might find the bustling atmosphere a tad overwhelming during peak periods. It's best to visit during off-peak hours for a more relaxed experience.
This was our first visit to The Farmers and it was excellent. Warm welcome, friendly staff( and other customers). I had a chicken madras and wife had the Farmers burger.it was delivered to the table on piping hot plates. Portions were good, real chips!! and reasonably priced.... This has recently changed hands and we will definitely be back...
Lovely pub great staff very helpful food is amazing, generous portions and really tasty home cooked food the chips are beautiful would definitely recommend a trip here if you’re in the area
We came with five people. The food was absolutely exceptional, each dish bursting with flavor and served very quick. What truly sets this place apart, however, is the staff. Despite being understaffed, every member of the team was incredibly friendly and attentive. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience, and their warm hospitality did not go unnoticed. It’s rare to find such a perfect combination of good food and genuinely caring service.
Such a great local pub and really lovely publicans! Food is always tasty and can’t beat the prices. A real gem for a local pub but would be a great find anywhere!
Cannot stress enough how amazing this hidden gem is. We stumbled upon it randomly whilst in the area and had probably the best food I ever had in the UK. It was so good we went there twice during our stay in South Wales. The service was amazing both times - attentive and very friendly staff, the food presented beautifully, generous portions and just bursting in flavours. I could not recommend this place enough and would go out of my way to go there again.
What an amazing Sunday lunch. Piping hot and plenty of vegetables and delicious gravy. Staff went over and above especially as my mum was Gluten free due to coeliac. Lots of choice for dessert. Even better during the week they have a fabulous menu for people who have allergies as well. Friendly service and lovely atmosphere. Thank you Farmers Arms we will be back
Was staying locally last minute and booked Farmers Arms for a mid evening dinner. Arrived late and had a little trepidation about the vicinity. Parked on the road easily however. Greeted warmly by staff and went to restaurant area of which there are two, and chose a table. Menus are on their website, not printed. Love this!! Plenty of choice on draught and even some cocktails!! Garlic mushrooms were delicious, burger was one of the best I’ve ever eaten and I’ve had a quite a few!! Apparently the pies are the best!! Sadly no room for dessert. This place is a hidden gem, don’t judge a book by its cover :0)
